SKIN EXPERT MICRONEEDLING SKIN REJUVENATION TRAINING
Medical Skin Needling, also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) and Micro-Needling, is a relatively new concept being added to numerous aesthetic skin rejuvenation treatment options. Micro-Needling, is used to break down scar tissue and to stimulate skin cells to proliferate. This cell multiplication results in the formation of new tissue layers of elastin and collagen fibers as well as in new capillaries for an improved blood supply. Are some of your clients looking for an alternative to dermal fillers and Botox? You will learn how to use an advanced medical grade microneedling device and medical grade products containing Vitamin C, Retinol, HA (Hyaluronic Acid Filler) and Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, a peptide which is a fragment of SNAP-25, a substrate of Botulinum toxin. Designed to stimulate the skin’s natural ability to produce new collagen and elastin creating healthier, tighter, smoother, more even toned skin. Often called the Vampire Facial, due to the punctate blood that is rich in stem cells and platelets that create new cell growth. We use OSHA Standard Precautions and Safety Standards in this class and students must complete a bloodbourne pathogens certification course and first aid course to receive their training certificate.
This course is designed to help the beginner get started. This course helps you better understand what you can safely do and accomplish with this great tool.
When evaluating skin, micro-needling gives you another treatment modality that is easy to do, is extremely effective and profitable at the same time. This certification course allows you to learn all the principals of micro-needling, observe an aggressive treatment, receive a treatment and give a treatment. You will be ready to confidently treat on your own after this course. *Training includes manual, training materials, equipment sales consulting, consent forms and professional certification emailed within one week of class.

Microneedling for Acne Scars
We have seen our best results for treatment of acne scars when skin specific serums are added to Microneedling. The indented scars that result from healed acne are notoriously difficult to treat. Acne can be treated superficially with chemical peels or microdermabrasion, but ideally, a deeper treatment is going to give a better longer-lasting result. With microneedling, all of the microscopic injuries to the scarred areas cause collagen formation, which cause the scars to become less indented. As they become shallower, they cause less shadowing and become less visible. Usually 3-5 microneedling treatments are used to treat acne scars, depending on how severe the scarring is.
Microneedling for Skin Tightening
Microneedling is also used to treat mildly loose skin by causing skin tightening. The skin feels instantly tighter after treatment. However, the full results are not seen for 6-8 weeks after your first treatment. This is the length of time that is takes for the body to fully heal and remodel all the tiny punctures in the skin. The skin will have a better overall tone with a series of microneedling.
Microneedling for Stretch Marks
Stretch marks form on areas of the body where the skin was stretched quicker than it could keep up with new collagen and elastin deposition. The skin just feels and looks thin in these areas. Microneedling causes thickening and tightening of the stretch mark skin as it heals and deposits collagen and elastin. A series of microneedling treatments cause the stretch marks to fade and become less noticeable. PRP or PRF added to the treatment enhances results
Microneedling Compared to Laser
Because there is no heat generated with microneedling, unlike fractional laser therapy, there is no thermal damage to the surrounding skin around each micro puncture. This leads to less swelling, less redness, and a quicker recovery. The procedure is performed in the office after topical numbing cream has been applied. The procedure takes about 20-30 minutes to perform, depending on the size of the area to be treated. The best results are seen after a series of at least 3 treatments.
